OUR Mission

The mission of Angel House of Georgia is to empower women to move from active alcohol and drug addiction to a life in recovery as productive members of society.

Our hope is that each resident will gain the knowledge and necessary skills to ensure long term sobriety. Many of the graduates of our program have seen their lives restored, have regained custody of their children and have been able to mend broken family relationships. They also hold steady jobs, are active in the local recovery community and are furthering their education.

Our Story

Angel House of Georgia is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established in May of 2011 by Angela English with a vision of helping women recover from Substance Use Disorders. She brings her knowledge and real life experiences through dedication, passion, and a commitment to help those still suffering from addiction. She’s seen it first hand while watching a loved one struggle for five years and finally seek help. She met people who told her about the area’s lack of women residential recovery facilities. Wanting to fill that void and help those who have struggled like her loved one, Angela decided to open a recovery residence. She rented a home, hired a substance abuse counselor, and brought a clinical director on board. In January 2015 we acquired an apartment building that is being used as transitional housing for our graduates and their kids. Recently we obtained a 6,400 square foot warehouse that is currently being converted into our new home with a capacity for 25 residents. After receiving the first resident in June of 2011, Angel House of Georgia has now proudly graduated several women who still continue to have a life free of active addiction.
